Cody is our Golden boy, our all-round does-just-about-everything horse. From our tiny little kids riding for the first time to advanced riders, this boy will meet the student where they are at in their skill level. Cody clearly tries to keep each rider safe and allows for mistakes. If a small rider unknowingly asks this guy to run, he looks at the instructor and waits for a que. This sweet boy is so patient and gentle. He goes both Western and English and even Dressage and jumping.<\/span><\/p>\n

Odin is good with advanced beginners that are strong and consistent. He’s a big beefy pretty boy who loves to get out and have some fun. He loves doing dressage and being pampered. He\u2019s a bit of a naughty prankster, and is a horse that keeps you on your toes. If you give Odin a job, he will be happy to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Baloo is a retired pony sweep pony (the merry-go-rounds you see at the fair) that was ready for a career change. Baloo is the sweetest pony, loves working with the little kids, and has so much patience. He loves watching the kids when they groom him, and enjoys his job teaching little ones how to balance and steer. He is slow and quiet and the perfect little pony for fearful little ones. Baloo and Meeko are best friends, and get regular play dates where they speed around the arena together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meeko is a retired pony sweep pony that worked with Baloo. They were both here for a career change. Meeko has learned a lot about independent riding, and has a need for speed! He\u2019s mainly used for our more advanced kids, but does know to slow down when we use him for a less experienced rider. He\u2019s been learning a lot of new sports with us and so far has been loving everything we put his way. He\u2019s been enjoying learning the gymkhana games such as barrels and pole bending, trail, and even cattle work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tucker belongs to a good friend who lets us borrow him during summer for summer camps. He is such a love! He’s like a big dog. He loves cuddles an grooming and especially loves little kids. Tucker is a Tennessee Walker so he as an extra gate called a “flat walk” that is really fun for the kids to experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sometimes after we rehabilitate a horse or get a new horse and try introducing them into our program, they just don’t love the job. And that’s fine! We want all of our horses to enjoy what they do and love life so if they don’t love teaching lessons we find them a home where they will be happy, loved and enjoy their jobs.<\/p>\n

Apollo<\/h1>\n

This is one of the sweetest most loving boys we’ve ever met. But we quickly realized that he needed more bodywork than we could provide, needed more time to settle in and really just seemed he would do better with one family. He gets pretty high anxiety and we believed having him with one family rather than several students would give him the security he needs. So he is now owned by one of our students and her family and he is also currently at our ranch still.<\/p>\n

Sage is such a sweet and pretty girl. We really loved her and while she loved the job in the beginning we started seeing that she just wasn’t happy with it anymore. We felt Sage would do better with a family rather than a bunch of different students. So Sage now has new owners with children and is happy and loved.<\/p>\n

Iris came to our program very underweight, she was weak and lost her spark. With carful weight gain, supplements and then muscle training we started to see life coming into this sweet girl. We introduced her into our program and she did really well although she didn’t love every student, she made it clear on her face, but she would still do her job and d it well.
We found that Iris absolutely loved barrel racing.
Unfortunately she was always dealing with poor hoof health and after her rehab she had a nearly fatal crack in her foot. A long carful year with lots of care she came back to work, took some of our students to our Schooling Shows, won ribbons, enjoyed life.\u00a0
She taught Liam how to manage his emotions when he got frustrated. She would patiently test him and wait for him to calm and be gentle with her. Those two loved each other so much.
In sept 2024 Iris was struggling and being treated for her stifle and hip pain when she hurt one of her front ankles and at that point did not have the strength to hold herself up well enough. She had fought so many times through several injuries and we all just knew it was time… She will forever run in our hearts and minds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oh Lukas, we miss this horse so much. Lukas was also on loan from the same friend that owns Tucker, he would come stay with us in the summer and he was a phenomenal dressage horse. Lukas was the sweetest boy and was loved very deeply.
Unfortunately Lukas started showing signs of colic one day and on that day we could not get in touch with a single vet, which never happens, so we took him to the veterinary hospital in Somis. They believed he was fine after treatment but wanted to keep him overnight just on case. We thought we were out of the woods but then that night we got a call that Lukas’ intestine had ruptured. As further investigation showed, Lukas was born with a defect where his intestine had a thin spot. As devastated as we all were, we were thankful that we couldn’t get a vet out because since he was in the hospital they caught it fast and it was only 4 minutes from the time it ruptured to the time he got to go over the rainbow bridge and be out of pain.\u00a0
Lukas will always live on in our hearts and memories.<\/p>\n

Rogue was another rehab case that came very underweight and almost did not make it due to her starvation and her body trying to shut down. But with detailed care she was successfully rehabbed and entered into our riding program.
Rouge was a wild little spitfire. She was really good at barrel racing and really good and keeping a rider balanced on her little narrow back. She had tons of personality and would get a little grouchy but she was well trained and was phenominal under saddle.\u00a0
Rouge and Tiffany have many stories from their time together from aweing people with her screeching walk after a barrel race, to saving a runaway horse while riding bareback and bridaless.\u00a0
Rouge hit a place in her health where she was struggling to move and stand and we did not want her in pain anymore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cody started to learn to be a barrel horse, but wasn't fast enough for the task. He was bought by a family who loved him immensely, but due to schooling no longer had the time for him. He is great on trail, the arena, and has done beach rides in the past. He\u2019s the perfect beginners horse, that also has a performance side. He\u2019s used for everything from first-time rides, through advanced riders. He prefers Dressage over western, but does do both.\u00a0

Odin is used for lessons in the arena. He's good with advanced beginners that are strong and consistent. He's a big beefy pretty boy who loves to get out and have some fun. He loves doing dressage and being pampered. He\u2019s a bit of a naughty prankster, and is a horse that keeps you on your toes.

Sage used to be a show horse in her younger years. She retired from show life to be a slow and steady trail horse. After having 2 older owners retire from riding, she was retired to pasture with other horses. She sat in her retirement for a couple years before Tiffany heard about her through our farrier. Sage is still very young to be retired, and has some advanced arthritis from her show years. We\u2019ve got her on an aggressive arthritis treatment, and hope to have her for many years to come! She\u2019s great for beginners, and absolutely the biggest cuddle bug.<\/td><\/tr>

Breed: Grade Pony (Grade means mutt for horses)
Color: Black (with some old man gray hairs)
Baloo is a retired pony sweep pony (the merry-go-rounds you see at the fair) that was ready for a career change. Baloo loves working with the little kids, and has so much patience. He loves watching the kids when they groom him, and enjoys his job teaching little ones how to balance and steer. He and Meeko are best friends, and do get regular play dates.<\/td><\/tr>

Meeko is a retired pony sweep pony that worked with Baloo. They\u2019re both here for a career change. Meeko has learned a lot about independent riding, and has a need for speed! He\u2019s mainly used for our more advanced kids, but does know to slow down when we use him for a less experienced rider. He\u2019s been learning a lot of new sports with us, and so far has been loving everything we put his way. He\u2019s been enjoying learning the gymkhana games, trail, and cattle work.<\/td><\/tr>

Her last owner contacted Tiffany asking if she could donate Iris (then Penny) to our program, as she was referred to us from a rescue we network with. Tiffany didn\u2019t have the space for this amazing mare when they first asked, so she ended up at a therapeutic riding center for a few months. Tiffany was contacted again and told that the center didn\u2019t care for Iris and she was in poor condition. At that point, we had the space so Tiffany brought her home. Iris was in severely poor condition. She had been starved, her teeth were sharp like razors, cutting the inside of her mouth constantly, and her feet were in very poor care. Iris has underlying health issues, and is on a very strict diet to keep her sugars under control. Her feet require constant upkeep, and specialty farriers to keep them balanced. She has almost passed a couple of times from her health issues, but we finally have her stable. In a couple months she\u2019ll be back to work.\u00a0
The 6 months that she was able to work, in between health crises, she was doing beginners through advanced riders. She\u2019s a western only horse, absolutely LOVES working with little kids, and doing the gymkhana games. She has potential to be a very competitive horse for gymkhana after her rehab.<\/td><\/tr>

Thor is a guide only horse. He\u2019ll be the main lead horse until Odin is ready to rejoin the trails (when he stops growing so much!). Thor enjoys his job greatly and takes it very seriously. He was rescued from Northern California, starved, beaten, and neglected. He had a severe infection that needed 3 months of aggressive treatment to overcome. Despite all the odds, he has turned into one of our most dependable horses. He shows us how much he appreciates what we\u2019ve done everyday he\u2019s under saddle. However, due to his love to be a lead horse, he\u2019ll never be a client horse.<\/td><\/tr>

Color: Pinto Chestnut Tobiano
Flash was rescued in 2010 with a broken knee (carpals) and could barely walk. Through aggressive treatment she has regained the ability to walk, jog, trot, canter\/lope, and gallop. She still has a hard time turning left quickly, but is getting better everyday. She is the perfect beginner horse and trail horse, loves kids, and loves to joust!<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
